African Foundation for Climate Change and Sustainable Development (AFCCSD), as the principal developer and lead consultant, proudly supported the Environmental Protection Authority’s National Adaptation Plan (EPA NAP) Project Management Unit in convening a distinguished capacity-building training session on 18th November 2025. The session brought together selected stakeholders from government ministries to explore Ghana’s newly developed Climate Risk and Vulnerability Information Portal (CRVIP), a transformative digital infrastructure at the heart of the nation’s climate adaptation strategy.
The CRVIP establishes a comprehensive, centralised repository of climate risk and vulnerability data, enabling evidence-based decision-making across all sectors. This platform is supported through funding from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) with technical assistance from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), representing a powerful synthesis of international expertise and national priorities.
The training session showed exemplary inter-ministerial collaboration, fostering productive dialogue and shared commitment to advancing Ghana’s climate resilience objectives. This initiative marks a significant milestone in establishing robust institutional frameworks and technological infrastructure that will guide evidence-informed policy formulation for years to come.
